Close up of a red and black and pink flower, with green leaves forming a blurred background. The oval petals are arranged like fan blades, overlapping toward the center. Each petal is red fading to pink at the edges, and a few of the very outside edges are lightened almost to white. There are black markings in the center part of each petal going outward in a jagged fan shape, stopping about halfway. A few stalks extend from the center on the main flower seen, they end in pink leaf like shapes. There appears to be a dusting of particles on most of the petals, it is a light color, almost faint yellow- probably pollen.
