die heads of two different species of Lithops (living stones) planted in pumice gravel in a pot on a windowsill. One head has produced a flower that protrudes on a long stalk from the two thick leaves, which is about to open. Another head is about to flower too, but the flower bud only protrudes a few millimeters from between the two leaves, making it look like a tongue.
