Emily the dogmom holding out their forearm with a fresh tattoo. The inner forearm is now host to a sample Git commit history, with older history near the elbow and newer history near the wrist. The commit graph is very simple without a lot of swooshy adornment - just circles and lines to indicate the graph - but the commit nodes are filled in different colors so that branches are color-coded. Around the middle of the graph is a dotted line bisecting the mainline to indicate the separation between commits known to the server and commits known only to the local clone.
