Three authors are on a panel, each with a large poster of their respective new book covers behind them. The first author introduces their book, HORSEBACK DOCTOR, by saying "This book was inspired by my previous career as a surgeon and my time riding with cowboys in Wyoming." The second author introduces their book, LOVE AT THE PATISSERIE, by saying "To prepare for my book I spent a year apprenticed to a baker in Avignon and edited a lonely-hearts column for the local paper." The third author is noticeably silent. We look behind them to see that the title of their book is THE LITERARY FESTIVAL MURDERS.

@bookstodon Of all the great Tom Gauld cartoons, and there are many (BAKING WITH KAFKA being my favorite collection) this one still cracks me up every time I see it!
