Two seagulls come into land on a jetty, almost in unison. The jetty is covered in snow and the lake water perfectly calm. The sky is moody and overcast apart from a few bits of light breaking through

   Ambleside Jetty

   On the day I wanted to visit the Langdales as there had been snow the day before. We couldn’t get there as roads were blocked with abandoned cars. So we went for a walk at Ambleside

   As the light was pretty atmospheric I decided to get a shot of the Waterhead jetty. Just as I pressed the shutter there was a flutter of wings from either side of the jetty. By complete fluke I captured two seagulls landing in unison.
