   This is a way for Meta to bring more of Instagram to the #Fediverse without having to activate #ActivityPub on any Instagram accounts.

   Semi-related note: To my knowledge, #Pixelfed is still muted on Threads, as the software platform does not (yet‽) provide a public timeline. Sigh…
