@taliesin No worries, I was just wondering what "the issue" was.
Content discovery is possible on the #Fediverse, maybe not exactly like it was on Twitter if it is even possible to describe, but there are several avenues to explore:- Hash tags now have increased importance thanks to the newly released feature allowing to follow specific tags regardless of who's using it among the posts the user instance knows about.
- Local and federated timelines allow for content discovery as well. A strongly themed instance (like mastodon.disabled-businesses.com for example) would probably have a local timeline homogenous enough to promote its users' work.
- In case spinning up a specialized instance isn't possible, cross-referencing other people in a virtual business association is a way to promote each other's work.
As a general rule, the #Fediverse empower its users, which means that a few features that are controlled by a single company on proprietary platforms are now mostly in the hands of the users here. It affords some degrees of freedom but it does require more legwork, for sure.
