   Was woken around 3am by an aurora red alert.

   Checked outside: clear skies, so took some photos to the north.

   Am 99% certain that the red & green coloured rainbows in this picture are not the aurora, but rather artefacts of the iPhone’s night mode stacking.

   Make that 99.99% certain.

   Trust me. I did the control experiment looking south & saw the same 🤷♂️🙂
