Post by sen jukannon shows a letter to "Kristen Clarke, Esquire Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights USS, Department of Justice 950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Washington, DC 20530-0001 "Re: Disenfranchisement of Georgia Voters "Dear Assistant Attorney General Clarke: "I write on behalf of the NAACP, the oldest and largest civil rights organization in the country. ‘Our mission, among other things, is to achieve political rights of Black people and all persons of color. We have recently learned of a threat to that mission and to the democratic process in Georgia. In recent years, Georgia has passed legislation o allow persons to challenge the voter status of others. In July 2023, it appeared that about 89,000 of 100,000 voter challenges were submitted by just six persons! Georgia election officials now are encouraging people to use a state website to cancel voter registrations."
