   Belatedly listening to Malcom Gladwell's "Revisionist History" podcast on fairy tales. Still on episode 2 but finding this extremely interesting.

   Last year I translated Rebecca Solnit's "Cinderella" into JP.

   I no longer make a living by translating but this one I had to, b/c when I found the EN ver. in City Lights bookstore in SF, I couldn't stop crying.

   When I was growing up, there was no fairytale around where non-conforming child could be blessed like this.
