This panorama shows a view from Mars rover Perseverance of the area it will climb in coming months to reach the top of Jezero Crater’s western rim.
The panorama is made up of 59 images taken by the rover’s Mastcam-Z on Aug 4.
“Dox Castle” is ~740 m away, on the left side of the hill at right. After exploration of Dox Castle, the rover will continue its climb up the crater rim, taking a route in between the two hills.
