   Twitter wasn’t all that, even before Musk gutted it. And Threads is not a big step up from that. Social media needs reinventing. This model has been with us for 17 years. We need a laboratory for new ideas and user experiences.

   That’s only going to happen in the fediverse. Where once, no one had an internet address, the same will be true of fedi IDs. Sooner than later, I hope.
