Chris Trottier @atomicpoet@atomicpoet.org · 2m Replying to @apolaine and @nicole @apolaine @nicole No, Andy, you haven’t explained exactly how I’m trolling except to say “you know full well what I’m doing.” So let’s review what actually happened: I wrote a factually accurate post about an athlete that was the victim of transphobic misinformation: https://atomicpoet.org/@atomicpoet/posts/AkYDRY6zvabQ90UKum A member of your server responded with a transphobic comment. I reported that member to your server for breaking your rules regarding transphobia. It took you a week to take any action regarding that report. When you acted, you removed the comment but not the account. This means that the offending account is free to send transphobic messages again because you’ve done the bare minimum of moderation. Now as you’ve done the bare minimum, you’ve taken upon yourself to harass the person making the report. You’ve baselessly called me a “troll”, implying that I deliberately attracted a transphobic response from your user, telling me to “cut it out”. Let me remind you again that I’m not on your server. Just because you don’t like my original post, I am not compelled to follow your “warnings”. I have not agreed to abide by your authority. However, your user – being a member of your server – is under the aegis of your authority and should be compelled to follow your rules. Andy, I am the admin of atomicpoet.org. When I reported that user for breaking the rules, I did it as a courtesy to your server because I believed it was still worth interacting with pkm.social. But knowing now that harassment is the price of reporting that user, I have no choice but to de-federate pkm.social. I will be announcing this de-federation on #Fediblock. I will also be sharing the contents of this conversation. It is regretful that you have forced me to take this action.
