Two consecutive posts to Mastodon by me. The first has a link to a YouTube video that is generated by the “Share” function in YouTube. All that shows is the first bit of the URL - no title or preview image. The second post has a link to the same video that was generated by copying and pasting the URL from the browser’s address window. The first bit of the URL is shown, along with an image preview of the video and its title.

Hey Tooters - If you are linking to YouTube videos, don’t use the “Share” function in YouTube to generate the link. Copy and paste the URL from your address bar.
Using the “Share” function generates a generic preview in Mastodon, whereas cutting and pasting the actual URL gives a nice preview for the video, including the title.
