I joined another fediverse projects chat and after introducing myself said the following: "Also, do let me know if my presence here is disruptive and you'd rather interact via Github Issues, I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable and understand if that is what you prefer, in that case I'll head out and we can discuss via Issues!"

I know that there are a few people who dislike me for whatever reasons, and I'm okay with that
But when I enter another fedi project chat, I make it clear that I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable with my presence, and that we can chat via Issues if the maintainer prefers
Respect means a lot to me and it goes both ways!
