   There's a moment when you're at arguably the most important music festival in history watching a huge crowd sing along to a decent Dead cover band notable most for being dressed *in drag*, in the year two thousand and twenty four, that you realize (once again) that the Grateful Dead were the most important American rock band ever and probably the best one as well. And also realize the absurdity of that fact & what a lucky thing to be alive to appreciate it.

   Anyway, good times in Newport!
