I watched a really enjoyable #Japanese movie called Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes.
It's basically about a guy who discovers a two minute lag between two laptop webcams, and very quickly discovers he can have conversations with himself, with his future self revealing things about the future 2 minutes ahead.
It's called a #ScieneFiction comedy, but really it's just a playful take on time travel. The characters take this simple premise then expand upon it, taking the two minute future/past scenario further, with pleasing results.
Strangely, many of the scenes are replayed from a different perspective but they don't feel repetitive or become tiresome. Pretty much everything is foreshadowed as well, so the sense of peril is diminished, but it's still very enjoyable and somehow it doesn't matter.
What drives the film forward is how it takes you through the time travel logic. It's complex but not difficult to follow. It all seems carefully thought out and you could sit and carefully work it all out in your head (I didn't) but it's playful enough to make you think you don't need to scrutinise it too much.
And it's all set in one location in a shop/office building. It's all neat, simple and contained, and it's contained within 70 mins.
It's a good film.
Welp...my landlord has now notified me that I will have to pay my rent earlier, because he has extra bills that need paying & because he's tired of me waiting until the last minute to pay up.
So, I'll be needing that $450 right away. And that $1,260 goal for mid-August just got pushed ahead.
It never stops, does it? Please....HELLLP!!!

Daily Inspiration: "Success in the next global economy will never come from chasing the ideas of the previous one!" - Futurist Jim Carroll
Here we go again!
History regularly has us this in these moments where we are surrounded by those who think progress involves going back to where we were, and those who believe that we should be going to where we will be going. Many aspects of the future are inevitable, and yet vast numbers of people try to avoid the reality of what it represents. The result is that they are left behind, the victim of false promises, while those who align to tomorrow and accept its realities are those who move ahead.
It's always been this way. You can try to ignore its existence, the future has a funny way of happening anyway!
To me, certain things are certain, inevitability is inevitable, and trends keep trending. The implications are obvious.
Trends involving the reality of tomorrow aren't wishful thinking; they aren't the ravings of a futuristic mind.
They are the facts of the future.
Like it or not, some countries are busily aligning themselves to the reality of these trends. Others like to pretend that they can go back to the 50s or 70's or 90s.
It doesn't work that way.
Which world are you in?
The old one, or the new one?
