Once I have a Matrix client... what next?
There are different servers: Do I need to pick one? Are people using matrix.org?
O IFTAS e a Matrix.org estão penando para conseguir dinheiro e manter as operações.
@dm I think I found it recommended somewhere on the matrix.org documentation? After struggling with deploying it myself on a VPS, I turned to them and it was smooth sailing. I'm also pleased with their pricing. Ultimately only paying about $5 more per month than I would have for one of the leanest droplets from Digital Ocean.
Welp. I've spent two hours trying to install a Matrix homeserver. I've tried droplets. I've tried it manually. I've used Debian and Ubuntu. I've consulted multiple guides.
This, every time:
>Job for matrix-synapse.service failed because the control process exited with error code.
>See "systemctl status matrix-synapse.service" and "journalctl -xeu matrix-synapse.service" for details.
*Shrugs* I can't let this consume my entire day. Maybe I'll just run the space using matrix.org 😢
