   PERSIAN GULF UPDATE....

   Hundreds of oil tankers and other vessels are trying to get to the shores of the United Arab Emirates, as far away from Iran as possible.

   Vessels are forming groups, hoping there is safety in numbers.

   So far, I have not heard of any Iranian firing upon the ships.

   Iran's Bandar Abbas coastal base was targeted by US missiles.

   but he wound up being a mascot for UK landowners because it turns out "wealthy dumbass who doesn't know what he's doing" is actually the norm there. 70% of the land is owned by 1% of the population- that's banana republic numbers.

   So the gag has become real. He's now a bona fide "agricultural spokesman" despite having a very dim understanding of what's wrong with British agriculture: people like him.

   goo.gl URls are 6 characters long, a-Z,0-9. That's a total of 62^6 combinations - about 56 Billion.

   The realistic max length of a URl is 1,024 bytes.

   That gives an upper-bound on the size of the database as 560TB.

   Various sources reckon the average length is about 80 chars. Let's call it 100. So 56TB.

   goo.gl only lasted 10 years (ancient for Google!). Bit.ly claimed to shorten 600 million links per month. I double Google was doing those numbers.
