A picture of a soldering station made from 3D printed parts, extruded 2020 aluminium profile, and a small aliexpress-grade T12 soldering station mounted on a Makita tool battery. The controller is mounted on the side of the tool battery, an soldering iron holder is mounted on top, and there is a carrying handle made from 2020 profile that all pieces are attached to. The iron's cable is spooled on a spool on the carrying handle.

This weekend, I built a little portable soldering kit out of my old soldering station, powered from a Makita tool battery. I made this thing to help with maintenance of our bicycles' electrical systems, so I can solder right on our bicycles without running cables.

You can download STLs and OpenSCAD models on Printables, link below.
