Yes, building a bridge and writing a web app are very different.
My friend who worked on avionics software? •That• looked a lot more like building a bridge.

Haven’t looked back at it now, but IIRC “all software is precious and completely unique, unlike bridges” and “real engineers are never told to cur corners or ship a prototype”* are both myths he touches on in his series.

My post was about my personal response. Someone offering a useful, benign feedback:
"you've used this image 3 times in the past 2 paragraphs. Vary it up."
Or "I don't understand what this paragraph adds to the story you're telling..."
Is not indictments of my style or talent. I recognize that more quickly & easily when i receive feedback more often. Like exercising a muscle that otherwise atrophies.
