   In addition to Pompeii, Roman town of Herculaneum was also destroyed by the erruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, causing it to be buried under 66ft of ash.

   One of the most famous houses in Herculaneum is the House of the Neptune Mosaic. This house is fairly small yet well decorated and seemingly belonged to a wealthy family.
