Someone in Warwickshire got arrested on the 8th and convicted on the 28th of last month for having a bladed article (a miniature master sword from The Legend of Zelda) in a public place. Sadly the only real information seems to be what the police are saying, but it leaves a bunch of questions unanswered.
Some hilarious quotes thoughIt is possible to find fidget toys that aren’t six-inch blades. It is possible not to walk down the street holding them out in front of you.Bunch of details that aren't clear to me here, first question is why CCTV operators noticed him in the first place, second is why the police are lying about the length of the blade, it's certainly under six inches, possibly under five, and they've helpfully put it next to a ruler to demonstrate this.
If you say "six inch blade" to a reasonable person, would they include the tang? I wouldn't!
