   To get a sense of how misguided it is to think like this, replace “AI” in the text with “asbestos”.

   “Asbestos doesn’t have to be horrible”

   Aside: asbestos does actually have quite a few legitimate uses but the harms so massively outweigh the benefits that even the US has ended up banning it.
