   Not only this, but as author of the first published quantitative research on Internet addiction and dependency in 1996, I have deliberately tried to stay out of this debacle with its reckless 'addiction' label spreading as fact through media. As I said at UNESCO's 2011 Fez conference, dependency is the problem.
