This is a picture of Seiyou-oni-Azami~Cirsium vulgare flowers. They are an invasive species with very strong reproductive potential. They may not be the most favored flower in Japan right now. I love their formidable beauty. The green, puffy body has many large spines, and the flowers that emerge from them resemble soft blush makeup brushes. The makeup brush in this photo is adorned with a pale pink face color. In the center of the photo you can see two buds, one with swollen spines and one slightly blooming, the other spines are blurred and the white lattice fence behind the flowers is also blurred.
