   It is unethical bullshit like this that makes it very hard to get anything important done, because everyone remembers this shit when the government tries any public health messaging.
   The Tuskegee Syphilis Study was brought up all the time and many BLACK DOCTORS came out and tried to counter all this to get service workers and minorities to get vaccinated.
   Just another example of how the US government is not a power for good in the world.

   Huge scoop by Reuters on the Pentagon's anti-vax disinformation campaign targeting Filipinos during the height of the pandemic in their country, all because the U.S. was getting a bit tetchy about China's influence in the Philippines.    This is horrible. Reporting from Reuters revealed that the US military ran disinformation campaigns, including creating fake social media accounts, to sow doubt in the quality of COVID vaccines, masks, and tests produced by other countries.
