My own post from 1 year ago: @niconiconi Upgrading my file server's RAM. What an absolute nightmare. It's what happens when you built an ITX PC... Locking its memory bandwidth to single-channel DDR4 just to save a few bucks before realizing it's slower than dual-channel DDR3 and buying another DIMM years later and rebuilding the entire server was definitely a bad idea... [Photo of the opened computer chassis. The SATA data and power cables completely blocked the entire motherboard. Maintenance impossible without dismantling everything.]
