An owl carved into a piece of stone. Its sharp little claws are lined up neatly underneath its downy body and its wings are folded in tightly as if it’s about to have a nap. But it’s eyes are still wide open and looking straight out at the viewer. The owl carving has been affixed to an outdoor beige wall that comprises part of a local library. This photo is a little off-centre becuase I was trying to avoid including a bright red sign that mentioned a nearby fire station. I have no idea what this carving is supposed to signify, but isn’t it neat?
