A chart of global solar capacity growth. Every year between 2009 and 2019, the forward projections have predicted only marginal growth in solar energy. Actual growth has taken capacity from almost zero in 2006 to over 100GW added per year in 2020. 2020 forward projections now indicate solar's annual capacity growth will exceed 200GW/per year by 2037.
