A vertical landscape of mostly deciduous trees gathered in a circle-like grove are surrounded by an evergreen forest. It’s winter but the green in this rainforest is deep, penetrating. The bare branches and trunks are long, graceful and mossy. The forest floor is red with composting, autumn big leaf maple leaves. A blue sky peeks through the branches that stretch to the top of the landscape. Certainly these trees were dancing a tree reel only moments before I arrived.
