Speckled with white dots like a fawn, a little harvestman sits neatly in the center of a fern's fiddlehead spiral, his round body held suspended in space by his long skinny legs. The fuzzy green tentacle of fern curls protectively around him. His two black, beadlike eyes, atop their little conning tower, look up at us in innocence and curiosity. He knows he's safe in the arms of his protector.
