   more vivid colors in the camera than to my eye

   but even to my eye the aurora is so bright it looks like the shipyard is on fire, or I've suddenly moved to a big city and it's foggy and the lights are shining off the fog

   but it's perfectly clear out!

   really incredible

   and I would not have known about the camera if so many people here hadn't said, so thank you

   also narrowly avoided a possum in my driveway, augh, dude, please run away, I'm a (distracted, but still) apex predator
