Here the scanlation group's translation is weird; possibly incorrect; but it's so very much in line with the story and the character in question! This is lost in the official translation.
In fact what happens next is that the school girls are very much puzzled by the language the nurse has just used. In the scanlation's translation, this is rendered by a girl saying "The heck does 'TOTES PSYCHED' mean?", to which another girl replies with "Dunno." Much, much better than in the official translator, in which the exchange is "What does she mean 'she can't stand it'?" and "Beats me."
This is also a nice example of the artist-designer loop where the designer has some words for their idea, then the artist converts that into visuals, and then it turns out some parts got lost in translation.
In this case, the artist gave the character a quill, because the idea for the setting is it's in the future but no longer industrial. But the quill is a bit too old-fashioned for that! Fountain pens have been already invented and you don't need a factory to make one.
