A screenshot of the image manipulation program known as "GiMP", which at the time seemed funny, but has since aged terribly. None the less, this version of "GiMP" is the latest version found on the beta channel of Flathub. The window is dark mode GTK4, toolbar to the left and various dialogues grouped in two sets, one being the various settings and parameters of the tools, and the groups beneath would be tools regarding the project file itself, like layers, colour space, paths, history of changes and a list of open projects. This grouping allows for an easy seperation of the editing process vs project management. The application itself is one cohesive window, which is quite different from old GiMP. Now it's becomes quite the powerful image editor with improved UX. But with the funny name comes funny motive. The image that is open in the editor features a white background, the cutout of an ant eater, and a text underneath saying "I propose a new law!". This is a funny little response to a post made by another funny Tooter, who said "being an ant is not illegal", introducing a sort of political power struggle between ants and ant eaters, whereby the motives of the anteater is not pure or just.

Can we just gush a little about #gimp - particularly the one situated in the #flathub #flatpak beta repo.
This whole window is unintrusive. The title and window controls are just sort of there, at the top of the window. A standard titlebar, toolbar in a single column to the left, and on the right grouping toolkit dialogues on the top and project management dialogues on the bottom, all surrounding the canvas.
It's more cohesive, more compact, and gives focus to the actual image itself... one sec
