   Ava Duvernay, Tyler Perry, Ta-Neshi Coates, Ibram X. Kendi and the hyper visible and palpable folks to white America are going to choke us alive with the fluffed up stuff that coasts the surface and makes them wealthy.

   I inherently do not trust folks like that because their activism stops at making a profit on the retelling of violence while only remaining within the realm of realistic fiction retelling or light rehashing of the folks who hadn't the audience nor support of the predecessors (like the Black misleadership class of the 90s and 80s).

   Yes, they provide excellent entries for complicated topics that (white, 62% of the population) America refuses to address, acknowledge or even perceive - unless it's February. But it halts at anything beyond that. And it's offensive because many people they've cribbed their information from the people who've done the work (like Angela Davis, Robin D.G. Kelly and Wilkerson).
