For anyone enjoying the Fallout series or not enjoying it.
I'd highly recommend checking out the film that inspired it all:
Radioactive Dreams by Albert Pyun
Its a 1983 film released 1985 that was where the game designers for Wasteland took the idea from, and then when that lead to Fallout, the designers went back and grabbed the parts that Wasteland had missed.
It's a comical armageddon punk detective film noir romp with all female punk bank musical backing track ensemble, where two boys who have grown up in a bomb shelter with nothing but 1950s novels and memorabilia finally escape and decide to go on the road as private dicks Phillip Hammer and Marlowe Chandler.
Its a mini cult classic, but no HD/blueray exists and theres no commercial copies available so the only uploads of it sadly dont do the film versions colours full justice. Theres a german DVD version and a japanese extended laserdisc version (terrible visual quality). Link is to the non extended widescreen dvd version that is more watchable (the main context you miss is just at the start you're shown the adult men kidnapped the main characters as kids while on the run).
