TIL that Stalin had concentration camps before WWII began. In the first four months of 1930, he forcibly removed 113,637 from Soviet Ukraine. He made them slaves.
Freezing freight cars. Frostbite. As did Hitler, Stalin made them build new villages, farms. Stalin deported 1.7 million people to Siberia, Kazakhstan and European Russia; 300,000 were from #Ukraine. #Context.
