This diagram shows the percentage of global fossil fuel emission occurring in a lifetime in bars of different length for ages from 5 to 100 years. Naturally more emission happens over a longer lifetime. During the life of someone who is 85 years old now 90% of all global fossil fuel emission happened. For someone at the age of 30 this rate is already 50%.
