Thirteenth week of Pirola BA.2.86 grankid JN.1 wave. Per GISAID, entering March, approaching two thirds of this likely attributable to variants—including upstart JN.1.4.
JN.1.4 still near ⅕ of JN sequences in GISAID.
Lineages still evident in GISAID plurality Eris fam, although upstart XBB.1.41.1 grankid JC.5.1 ekes out singletons across multiple states.
