   People shit on lemmy because of politics (the devs are apparently commies, they keep their project strictly non-political, but lefties can't handle that, and somehow nignogs over this side get caught up in it). Also because it does weird shit with federation that doesn't work properly with anybody else, except sometimes mastodong.
   People shit on misskey forks, mastodon forks and pleroma forks because 1) mostly trannies and 2) mostly abandoned (lol that's how the fork goes).
   
   Rest of fedi barely gets mentioned.
