   Wifey had a cold the week before our trip and hasn't shaken the cough. Sent her to see a doctor in #Taiwan today.

   No appointment or health insurance. A few minutes wait. Diagnosed with bronchitis. Several medicines were prescribed and dispensed. Cost under $22 USD. 30 minutes.

   Doctor said to her, “You had a cold and you didn't go to the doctor?”

   "No, no one goes to a doctor for a cold in the US. With a $40 copay and having to schedule weeks in advance, what's the point?”

   @JorgeStolfi this kind of election excludes people who can't get to the voting station on election day.

   Your characterization of losers as always being suspicious and sore losers is out of line with hundreds of years of representative democracy in which there were far bigger issues than what we suffer today.

   No election system will convince people who want to be suspicious (see Venezuela under Chavez) and even an awful system can be trusted by people of good faith.

   Just found out, entirely by accident, that I'm under a tornado watch. I only discovered it because of a national news story I happened to notice most of the way down the page on CNN about an especially dangerous weather condition in the midwest.

   And I'm like.. "Wait, I'm in the midwest!" I clicked the story.

   Turns out, yeah, my county is in the watch area and there's a line of serious storms coming that have already spawned tornadoes and killed people today.

   No trace of this in Apple Weather.

   “We will never, ever sell the LCBO” said Premier Ford today.

   No one will be surprised when they hear #DougFord is planning to sell off the $2.5 billion a year liquor & wine business to his donors. 🙄

   Reminder: LCBO employees were among the public service workers impacted by Ford's unconstitutional wage Bill 124. Currently profits from LCBO stores help fund public services in #Ontario.
