   @preinheimer This was one of my favorite aspects of the original World of Warcraft (which presumably survives into "WoW Classic" today). It was not trivial to traverse the world. If you wanted to go from Stormwind to Darnassus, it was a journey that took time and was not without risks.

   At worst it was just a time sink, but at best it was a meaningful decision your character had to make.
