@vriska Your laptop needs about 12-24 volts of power. The power out of the socket is 240V.
So you need to take a big magnet and wind some wires around it.
You want 10:1 to get 24V. but that's not 100% true. They measure volts in two different ways.
240V AC is 340V DC.
So, 340 down to 24 is 14 times.
On one side of the magnet, there needs to be 14 times as many windings as on the other side.
Also, the copper can't touch the magnet, so it needs coating.
