A large owl sits on a perch against a black backdrop in a studio. He has his back to the camera and has rotated his head 180 degrees to look over his shoulder at the camera. He has a brown mottled patterns on his feathers. Each yellow is eye surrounded by concentric ring of feathers in a concave "satellite dish" that functions to channel sound waves to the owl's ears. His right wing was broken by being hit by a car, and droops some. His head is very large, but his actual skull is about one-fourth of the total head size.
