   Open a new tab in your editor.

   Write a question for SO, in as absolute prolix plodding detail (platform, versions, code snippets etc etc) as you can manage.

   Do something else for a bit then go back, look at your question again and add all the details you forgot to put in in the first place. Also correct your grammar and spell out the assumptions you've made that you didn't make in the first draft. Iterate this.

   With a bit of luck you won't have to actually post it.
