We're in a fairly dark room, close to one corner in which there is set a rectangular window, taller than it is wide. The window is split horizontally into four equal panes and has lead lining on it forming diamonds and giving indication of the age of the building. Through the window we can see the outside world and views of large-trunked trees in sunlight. On the windowsill there is a tall brass lamp with thin, clear glass bulb on top. To the left of that is a small glass vase with some small flowers in it. The windowsill is completed by some old books, two standing up, two leaning against them. The windowsill is thick indicating thick stone walls and, again, an age to the structure. It feels cool and muffled in this old room.
