BlueSky is no different from Twitter in its casual character assassination and defaming of randos. And, as such, I will be pulling away from there. I made a clearly jokey and innocent post, one in which I boasted about my "main character experience," and this was used to libel me and organize a character assassination campaign against me that resulted in, as of now, 150 people blocking me. In other words, this proves my point. This is a case where someone with influence only has to use dog whistle keywords, however untrue, to shut someone out of dialogue.

Dude blows a joke, doubles down when called on it and calls it a “campaign” against him.
Now, let’s be clear, he’s probably had a pretty shitty afternoon, almost entirely created by himself, but instead of taking a moment of reflection, he’s going to make a YouTube video and scream how BlueSky is a terrible place.
I take this shit with a grain of salt when someone does it on BlueSky about Mastodon likewise here & folks like Ed here are a big reason why.
