   @alshafei I'm glad that you're on the board plus you're doing great work on Mahal.org which is great.

   At the same time though, there are some that don't have the best interests at heart given their track record and history, and I'm sure people are rightfully concerned but for now, this gives me a bit of hope that it doesn't and I hope you're right.

   We have seen this unfold so many times where potentially great services turn into a pumpkin and I hope Mastodon is not another victim of the trend.

   I'm sharing this now because I'm at a point where I don't need advice, I don't need support and I'm feeling good about where I am in life. I have close meatspace friends who have supported me on the way.

   We're on good terms, she comes over a few times per week, we do stuff together. Kid is doing great.

   At the time, I asked him if he wanted to know more and he said "I know these things don't work out sometimes and I'd prefer not to know the details, I think. Will mamma still join movie nights?". Mamma still joins movie nights.
