In an ancient Tuscan city, we look from a shadowy room, past an elaborate column and through an opened arched door, into a brightly lit gallery filled with Renaissance sculpture. Each statue is on its own marble pedestal and we are focused on a bronze one of a young hero, naked and armed. In his right hand he holds a sword. In his left, he proudly holds up a severed head. Could it be a Gorgon he has slain?
